The Humble Chief Audit Executive. The “Trusted Partner” Superstar
This session will focus on progressing the Internal Auditor or Chief Audit Executive from subject matter expert to becoming a trusted advisor superstar in the eyes of the Audit Committee, the CEO, senior management and peers. Today’s Chief Audit Executive needs to be mindful of not just their own behaviours but those of their staff in order to maintain their effectiveness as a trusted advisor and valued partner in their role as third line of defence.
It has been the experience of the presenters that by following a risk-based approach to audit planning, relying on adherence to the Professional Standards and achieving good scores on post -audit surveys is not sufficient. Elements of trust building need to be included as a core-principle in building the audit plan.
Through sharing principles of building trust and service orientation and through sharing relevant audit and consulting/advisory examples from personal experiences in multiple roles, your presenters will help the participant learn how to increasing their personal brand value and success within their organization on the journey to being a trusted audit superstar.
